Being Aware
The most important thing is to be aware.
Be aware — and allow what needs to move through you to move through you.
Simply be aware.
Become more sensitive.
Become more connected with the world.
When we become more connected with the world, our sense of separation dissolves.
Being sensitive is being connected.
Being sensitive is interbeing with all that surrounds us.
What is all around us?
There is no need to force anything.
Simply be aware. Allow.
Force smells of the old paradigm — a paradigm of separation, of distrust.
But awareness and trust… these bring connection.
Connection with the divinity of the world — which is the world.
Divinity is not separate; it is completely embedded and intertwined with the material of the world.
Being sensitive means hearing the sounds that arise.
It means paying close attention.
Observing — observing without judgment.
Because judgment is a story.
And that story is insulation.
It keeps you farther from what is here, farther from the present moment.
The story is the past.
When we step into the present moment,
When we see with eyes clear of the past —
Then, we truly see.
And it’s also about being okay with the tug and pull within yourself.
Being okay with discomfort.
Because discomfort can be the fuel for change.
It can be a space where something new can grow.
Even boredom — boredom is an invitation.
The emptiness is an invitation — a fertile space for something to arise.
Trust life.
Things are still done — but there is no one doing them.
It’s a total trust in life.
A scary level of confidence.
A scary level of trust.
But it’s not irresponsibility.
It just doesn’t follow the conventional definitions of responsibility… or perhaps it does, in a deeper way.
It means being able to sit with tension.
To hold the tension.
To soften to the tension — and let it be softened.
To be okay with the pauses.
To be okay with the discomfort of silence.
With simply the noises…
Are you really alone?
Who is the you that is alone?
Just allowing these noises to be here.
Allowing this space to be here.
You can choose to be here, or choose to not be here —
But you are always here.
Wow.
Now, that is a sunset if I’ve ever seen one.
Going out in nature… and realizing — it’s all nature.
Yet, there are different things within it.
We do have this unique ability to affect our environment.
But it’s not even really unique — it’s just the degree to which we affect it.
That’s what is special about humans.
And so we must be conscious about what we create.
What we bring into this world.
Because if we see clearly —
If we see that we are totally one with everything —
Then where do we even draw the line between man and nature?
The difference is simply that we have a large effect on the biosphere.
That’s our uniqueness.
So yes — we must be conscious.
We must create something truly harmonious with everything.
Because we recognize our interdependence.
Our interbeing with everything.
When we live from that,
We don’t feel so cut off from the world.
We enjoy life more.
We are happier.
You can choose to be totally in communion with life.
Which means allowing everything — totally.
But it also means listening deeply to yourself.
Listening to what arises in this moment.
Listening carefully.
Being in collaboration with life.
It’s not a passive thing.
It’s a collaboration.
And that’s what makes it beautiful.
The collaboration happens… through you.
In collaboration with yourself — and with life.
